Stone Island

Stone Island was originally a diffusion of the brand C.P. Company (established by Massimo Osti in 1974). They specialised in the surface treatment of fabrics and dyeing techniques.

In 1983 GFT bought the company and today it is now run by Carlo Rivetti. The initial designs were drawn from military and work wear, accompanied by endless textile research. In 1994 a new designer joined the team to bring Stone of the 21st Century. From this period the brand became very popular in the football casual subculture in England and throughout the rest of Europe. Today the design team continue to experiment and research to create that special something that makes Stone Island much more than just a clothing brand.
